The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, has streamline activities marking the 2025 Press week celebration.

The week-long event promised to be a rich blend of professionalism, health outreach and cultural activities designed to  position the press strategically for the future.

A statement jointly signed and issued to Acenews online Friday in Jos the State capital, by the chairman and secretary 2025 press week organising committee, Farinlola John Sunday and Zainab Babaji, said the programme commenced Wednesday 15th October 2025 and run through Sunday 19th October 2025, as the celebration is poised to be a holistic experience for media professionals across Plateau State. 

"The event is designed not just to rejuvenate journalists,  but to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie amongst them."

They also revealed the week's itinerary which includes:" a health walk and radio talk Shows to kick off the week, engaging the public on the vital role of journalism in nation-building.A health talk and free medical checkup focused on cervical and prostate cancer."

"Others event are high-level Colloquium at the Crispan Hotel,
Juma'at Prayers and a Novelty football match between NUJ chapels to foster unity and friendly competition,Cultural Day celebrating Plateau and Nigeria's diversity through the display of traditional dishes from various ethnic groups as well as thanksgiving Service to conclude the week on a reflective and grateful note."

Emphasizing the significance of collective enduring spirit as journalists working on the Plateau, the organising committee urged every journalist cutting across various chapels in the state to actively participate, have an insightful moment and waxing their scope of knowledge.
