The Vice-Chancellor of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos,Professor Shedrack Best, has reiterated his commitment to strengthening all infrastructures designed to ease student learning and research on campus.

 Professor Best gave the assurance while inspecting fifty-three cartons of books recently donated to the university library.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors,Book Aid International, for their generosity and commitment to advancing education. 

He stated that the materials, which span various disciplines and were shipped to the University at no cost, would greatly contribute to knowledge sharing and academic development within the University community, “We are thankful for this kind gesture and will ensure that the University Library remains secure and functional,” Professor Best affirmed.
‎He noted the ongoing efforts to automate the library, which includes wiring the entire campus for internet connectivity to facilitate easy access to both digital and physical resources.
‎Earlier, the University Librarian, Associate Professor Shehu Allahde, praised the Vice-Chancellor for his continued support in addressing challenges confronting the library. He assured that staff would continue to protect and maintain the library and the new materials to ensure they are readily accessible to students and and researchers.
‎A key moment at the event included the official unveiling of the sealed cartons of books, followed by the presentation of a souvenir to the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of his leadership and dedication towards the University’s learning environment.
