Despite Lean Resources, NCCE Accredits COE Gindiri Programmes

Despite lean resources, the Rev. Prof Cletus Gotan's led administration at the College of Education Gindiri has so impressed the National Commission that the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) has re-certified the Institutional/Academic programmes of the College of Education, Gindiri. The Acting Provost of the College, Rev Prof. Cletus Gotan stated that the 26 academic programmes of the College were given full accreditation by the Commission as required by Law.
Rev. Prof Cletus Gotan revealed this at an Expanded Management meeting of the College held on the 20th of May, 2019 with the Permanent Secretaries Higher Education, Works, Establishment and Finance in attendance.
The indefatigable Provost hinted that the NCCE has approved six additional Departments/Courses to be run by the College which includes: Departmental of Political Science Education, Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, Department of Theatre Arts Education, Computer Science Education, Department of Technical Education and Department of Early Childhood Care Education.
The Acting Provost, Cletus Gotan on behalf of the Management,Staff and Students of the College, registered his heart-felt gratitude and appreciation to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon Simon Bako Lalong, the Leader of the Rescue Team on the Plateau for the positive support he rendered to the College during the accreditation and approval to run these new courses in the College by the NCCE. Gotan further said: "Your Excellency Sir, this has further proven that you are a God sent on a Rescue Mission because the process of the accreditation was deliberately neglected for the past 15 years by the previous administrations which led to negative consequences, thereby, threatening the existence of the College. Your Excellency, God has given you a second mandate and by His Grace, your second tenure will be an opportunity to consolidate on the positive foundation you have laid and making an enduring and positive mark in the annals of history of the the state", the Provost stated.
A visit by a team of erudite Journalists and Publishers of the NewsGate Magazine, NewsCrest Newspaper, Fact Finder, Mail News, National Crusader, The Times Newspaper, Ace News Magazine, Jat Hot News Magazine, FRCN, News Parrot Newspaper, New Herald Magazine and The Age Newspaper to the College of Education Gindiri on Thursday 23rd May,2019 revealed that with the coming on board of the Provost, Rev. Father Gotan and the council, the college has taken a progressive dimension with the building of parameters fence around the College environment.
The Media men also learnt that academic exercise is now a top priority,with the Provost always supervising Lecturers in classes even at odd times to ensure capacity building and knowledge-driven environment devoid of laziness and distraction.
The College is now a most sought out choice by candidates seeking admission because of the new leadership of the citadel of learning.
