The Plateau State Governor Rt Hon Barr Dr Simon Bako Lalong was recently elected as the Chairman, Northern Governors' Forum (NGF) in Kaduna by his colleagues to pilot the affairs of the forum to the next level. Lalong was elected based on his capacities of uniting and bringing peace to the people of Plateau State under his Rescue Administration.

  A team of Journalists and Publishers of The NewsGate Magazine, Fact Finder Newspaper, NewsCrest Newspaper, News Parrot Newspaper, The Age Newspaper, Ace News Magazine,New Herald Magazine and Jat Hot News went round-town to sought for the views of the people over the governor's emergence as the NGF Chairman and their views went thus:

I want to really express my gratitude to God for the governor being recognized in that capacity of being the Chairman of Northern Governors  Forum. Well, I'm sure it was not by accident but he has been singled out and recognized as somebody who will pursue the cause of peace in the whole Northern States just in line with what he achieved in Plateau State. And we hope with the new mandate the Plateau people have given him also, he'll put in more to make sure that he complete what he has started this time around not only in the state but Northern States as a whole and by extension, Nigeria.

  In bringing down the skirmishes that occurred in some parts of the state, is doing what we know how to do best. We all know the agitation of few individuals and at a slightest provocation, they do things that could destabilize the peace of the community. Having been in this job for quite a while, we adopt an approach of appealing on them, dialoguing with them to see reason why it doesn't pay to answer anything with violence and we were able to pacify them that no violence, no cohesion we just pleaded on their sense of humanity and it did the magic fortunately it happens to be on Sunday and we pray also, and God answered our prayers.

I'm happy for the Governor to be elected as the Chairman Northern Governor's Forumof course they want to elect somebody that will run the affairs of the forum and little did he know that the target was to elect him. He has somebody in mind that he's about to nominate but that wasn't God's wish for him.So, God's ways are different from our ways.And like he said, among all those that are going to participate in that election, he comes from the minority and going by the thinking of man, it will be difficult if not impossible for him to be re-elected but God chose him because he has a clean heart and the scripture says there's no responsibility that God will give you without attaching the wisdom and everything because he will begin to wonder how will he approach this people but God that has given him that responsibility He will give him direction and He will sent helpers and favor from left right centre.

 His emergence will bring so many significant things in the state and by extension, the country because Plateau is the centre of attraction in the whole country. When there is peace on the Plateau, it reduces a lot of crisis all over Northern Nigeria.Without even extra effort, you'll see naturally peace will return to other areas in the North where there are crisis  virtually everywhere all the time. So, God is going to give him wisdom like that of King Solomon to perform his task. It is not easy but God will do it through him and peace will return to the North during his tenure and it will be a reference point to other zones.

Danzos used the opportunity to thank the people of Jos South LGA for voting en masse for the APC and the Governor Lalong in the last elections.
