The executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government,Chief Yusuf Machen has been pivotal to the total compliance in the LGA as he made sure he motivated all security personnel with a bottom-top approach that ensured alertness of the security men in Bokkos during the lockdown.

Bokkos has recorded over 60 cases of defaulters that have been tried at the mobile courts so far.

In compliance with the directive given by His Excellency Rt Hon. Simon Lalong Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of Northern States Governor’s Forum for a lock down of the state effective 12 am Thursday 09/04/2020 to 11 Pm Wednesday 14/04/2020
as part of measures towards keeping the state free from Corona Virus.

The Executive Chairman of Bokkos, Chief Yusuf Mahanan Machen in consonance with this directive ensured all the security apparatus were fully motivated is even as he sensitized all good citizens of Bokkos to accord priority and support this noble initiative aimed at keeping safe citizens.

” Bokkos, known for our humility and obedience would as usual demonstrate to Mr. Governor our unalloyed support and obedience to constituted authority in an effort to curb Covid19″

Accordingly ,The Chairman thanked all members of Bokkos Executive and Legislative councils, Traditional Council and community leaders, heads of Religious institutions, Youth and women groups who were key in sensitizing their members and the good people of Bokkos about the significance of Government’s proactive drive of safeguarding citizens against the deadly Corona Virus.

As the lockdown comes to an ende today,the chairman and the council are making frantic efforts to see that the vulnerable gets palliatives as the lockdown comes to an end today with uncertainty over a probable extension by government.
