The news of the murder of a Young Plateau son and a Nigerian came with rude stupefaction-a death not as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic we are battling to curtail but as a result of the handling of a rifle by an ill minded individual with the similitude of a lunatic, that is what the lame response from OPSH seem to portray as Signed by Major Ibrahim Shittu, Media Officer,Operation SAFE HAVEN. There is obviously no excuse perfectly suitable enough to justify the termination of this prime life or any other. The Security Operatives on the Plateau tend to be push hard their prowess when it comes to extra judicial killings instead of the Constitutional responsibility of protecting the lives and property of Nigerians.Maybe there have been a lot of audio scapegoats, they need to be visual, maybe because these Extra Judicial killings are not conclusively backed with the Legal fight for justice. But not any more! Recall; The murder of Mr.Kums Fenan,a 19 year old Student of the University of Jos in October 5,2018. The torture that led to the death of Mr.Benjamin Arum Izang around Tina Junction just this year. Behold another! Plateau residents like other Nigerians are have the Right to life and no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life as enshrined in our Constitution. I want to condole and express my heartfelt empathy with the family of Mr.Rinji Peter Bala over the murder of their son.We are all saddened by the unfortunate situation. The hope of a united Pateau is becoming clearer than ever,Pateau sons and daughters across board have decided to register their voices in loudest tone against this gruesome act of murder and callous perpetrator/s.May the murder of Mr.Rinji Peter Bala be the last of such gruesome and extra judicial killings we experience in the State. The rapt efforts of the Ngas Youth Movement by going beyond a press release and ensuring that justice is sorted out for Mr. Rinji Bala and meted on the killer. The Human Right Groups and Legal body(ies) willing to take Legal action must indeed be commended as Justice for #RINJI IS THE BEST CONSOLATION,not just to the family but Plateau in its entirety. Plateau State Government must on the other hand, monitor the process of trial and ensure that justice is attained to in some way pacify the many aggrieved. Above all,we pray for the repose of the soul of our brother. COMR.GODMAN GONET Advocate for Good Governance,Equity and Peace. REGISTERS DISPLEASURE OVER THE MURDER OF MR.
