The Management Committee Chairman of Barkin-Ladi Local Government Council, Hon. Barrister Ezekiel Mandyau, has expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by Barkin-Ladi stakeholders, vowing that he will not fail the people of the Local Government. Speaking during a meeting with the stakeholders at Hon. Rufus Bature's residence, a former SGS to Plateau State on Friday, Mandyau said the task ahead in repositioning Barkin-Ladi is not an easy one calling on stakeholders to collaborate and support his administration. He assured that his administration has prioritized security, human empowerment, infrastructure, Health, Education among others. Promising, Barkin-Ladi under his watch would experience speedy development and that he will work within his mandate to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens. He said, “We have our own mandate. We need your assistance and support to be able to actualise this mandate. Your support, understanding and guidance are always going to be our watchword. I cannot do it alone. Join me and support me to get these things right to reposition our Local Government for the betterment of us all. I assure you, "we will do everything possible not to fail you.” The meeting was attended by several stakeholders including Hon. Rufus Bature (Former SGS Plateau State), Hon. Jock Alamba (APC National EXCO member), Former Commissioners, SSAs, Chairmen, Deputies and Councilors as well as the APC LGA Chairman and State Party Representatives in the LGA, among other relevant stakeholders. The stakeholders took turns to applaud the appointment of Barrister Ezekiel Mandyau, expressing hope that his appointment, given his wealth of experience and what he has achieved thus far; is a clear indication that Barkin-Ladi will soon stand out as the best Local Government in Plateau State.
