Hon.Shehu Bala Usman management committee chairman Jos North LGA

The committee set aside by management of Jos North Local Government Council to work out modalities and to bring to an end the lingering land dispute at East of Bauchi Ring Road have submitted their report.

You would recall recently there were unwarranted development in the East of Bauchi Ring Road, opposite University of Jos staff quarters by some people who over the years illegally erecting structures on the land that doesn't belong to them.

However, in an attempt to dust down the magnitude of rising eyebrow on the said area, the administration of Hon. Shehu Bala Usman, management committee chairman of Jos North LGA constituted a ten man committee to undertake such task.

According to a press statement signed by the senior information officer to chairman Philip Eplong, said a ten man committee set up by Jos North Local Government Council to bring an amicable resolutions on the land dispute between Hausa and Anaguta people at East of Bauchi Road has submitted it report to the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government

Presenting  their report at the Local Government Council Secretariat in Jos , the Co - Chairmen of the Committee Sunday Garba Bunu and Shehu Ibrahim Masallah said they worked assiduously and engaged all parties involved to bring out a workable documents for implementation for the Local Government.

Some of the issues the Committee  looked  into include  Land  grabbing, illegal and multiple sales of land.

The Committee called on  the Management Committee to look at the report deeply  with the view to implementing it if it was to maintained sanity at the East of Bauchi Road.

While receiving the report, Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman appreciated the Committee for their doggedness despite the challenges it faced in the cause of their assignments.

The Chairman promised to  implement the Committee's report without fear or favor in the overall development of the Local Government.

He called on citizens to remain calm, peaceful and law abiding as the Local Government under his watch has and will still continue to provide enabling environment for citizens to thrive irrespective of their differences.

 Members of the Committee present includes; Hon Pius Gimba, SP Musa Hassan DPO Nasarawa Gwong, representative of DSS Jos North and Mallam Ahmed Abdulahi.Others are  Barr. Paul Zaruma, Deacon Moses Bulus Dawang, and Mallam Kamaludeen Yahaya as well as Rwang Gyang Rwang, who served as secretary of the committee.
