Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abok N Ayuba and CP Edward Ebuka today, convened an emergency security meeting with Fulani and indigenous community leaders across the five local government councils of the Northern Plateau which comprise of Jos East, Jos South, Bassa, Barkin Lady and Ryom over the recent resurgence of attacks which led to the destruction of live and property in Kwal community of Miango chiefdom of Bassa Local Government. 


The meeting, held at the Senior Police Officers Mess, Tudun Wada had in attendance, the presence of all security operatives in the State, youth and community representatives as well as Chiefs and Ardos.


The Speaker who was overwhelmed, gave a stern warning against the repeated reoccurrence of these barbaric conducts, emphasizing that the path to peace is primal concern to Government and that peace is a must and cannot be negotiated.


The meeting was climaxed by the adoption of a communique to serve as a working document towards achieving lasting peace within the affected crisis areas in the zone.


Also in attendance with the Speaker were Hon. Peter Ibrahim Gyendeng (minority leader PLHA), Hon. Godson Fom, Hon. Timothy Dantong, Hon. Musa Aga Avia and Hon. Esther Simi Dusu.
