A philanthropy icon, youths vanguard and peace advocate, Hon. Abubakar Kabiru Mai Akwala, stated that he always prioritize giving back to the society must especially the vulnerable group.

The business Mogul, Abubakar Mai Akwala said it is high time to change the narrative of governance by reaching out to the masses at the grassroot rather than rhetorics.

He made the assertion on Sunday in Babale, Jos North Local Government Area, during a grand finale of Babale peace unity 2021 football tournament which is the first of its kind.

The peace unity football competition which Kick started with 16 registered teams both within and outside Plateau State, saw MC United F.C Babale and Mining Beacon Bees F.C Tilde reached grand finale.

However, Mining Beacon Bees F.C Tilde emerged winner as they edge MC United F.C Babale 6-5 in a penalty shut out after a  dramatic and tedious 90 minutes goalless draw encounter.

According to Mai Akwala "I just like Babale people because there are competent in terms of peace. They always prioritize peace in all ramification". 

Mai Akwala who is nursing the ambition of 2023 politicking said he is poised to continue giving back to the society in terms of skills acquisition programmes most especially among women  and youths to be self employed and eradicate poverty.

 On economic, insecurity and other challenges ravaging Nigeria, he noted that "Politicians should fear God because the masses are dying in extreme poverty. So we need to address ourselves by looking at the vulnerable persons and help them. Is not when you have big, No! You can reach out to people with the little you have", Mai Akwala concluded.

Also speaking at the grand finale of the football peace tournament, the District head of Targwong, His Royal Highness Aminu Maisamari Dogo, opines that "I am very happy for the successful competition which have started and ended peacefully in my domain.

"I want to sincerely appreciate the organizers of this wonderful tournament and most especially Abubakar Mai Akwala who painstakingly sponsored the competition.

 "We should continue to live in peace with one another by strengthening the bond of our unity.To our youths, it is my prayer that they will excel in their various future endeavours and we look forward to see them playing in reputable clubs globally", the monarch mentioned.
