Comm. Physical planning and urban development middle touring the on going road construction of Ali Kazaure-Angwan Rogo

Plateau State commissioner ministry of physical planning and urban development, Dayyabu Garga have stated that the ongoing road construction network in Angwan Rogo-Ali Kazaure, Jos North Local Government Area is about 70 percent done remaining 30 percent to be completed.

Garga made the pronouncement alongside other officials of the ministry on Tuesday during the assessment tour of the project.
 
According to him"well,we have physically observed and seen that the contractor is on site and the work is on going to an appreciable level.

"His Excellency the Executive Governor Barr. Simon Lalong have so much passion to see that this work has completed and as being scheduled and the contractor the contractor has given his word and have seen the reality on ground and the work is in progress, and I hope within a stipulated time he will hand over this work and government will commission it for the utility value of the masses. 

"I am confident that this project will be in no distanced time. I am overwhelmed when I look at that bridge because is for international standard and if this road will be constructed like that then I think we will continue doing business with the contractor in future", Garga mentioned.

He also urge those community members residing where the project is on going to desist from dumping refused under Ali Kazaure- Angwan Rogo bridge.

"I spoke with the community leaders to tell their people to stop dumping refused in the water ways because when they block water ways the next thing is flooding and is going to affect their members around that areas. 

"So, I think we're going to take action very seriously and we are going to involve JMDB to ensure that no one put refused in that water ways".

The managing Director of LATOKEM Nigeria Limited expressed hope that the project will be completed in the next three weeks term frame, even though there were challenges in terms of funding, calling on government to expedite action.

On the level of work so far, the GM said the lateral work is about 100% completion, nothing that the area is rocky in nature.

"We need lateral to fill the road and dig Calvert by using excavator with drainages to give us standard and quality work.

"We don't have specific time giving to us as far as this project is concerned but we're taking our time to do a very good job, and we assured his Excellency that we are going to finish in good time", the GM noted.

Our correspondent learned that the 6.5 kilometers Angwan Rogo-Ali Kazaure road network contract is awarded to LATOKEM Nigeria Limited about four years ago.
