Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission,NCDC, Rev.Dr. Yakubu Pam stated that fanatism is one of the major problem responsible for Nigeria's woos.

He bemoaned that people are too desperate in promoting their ethnic background instead of peace and humanity of all.

"We will benefit more when we come together! I think we should think twice and harmonize ourselves."

Rev.Pam made the remarks speaking on Sunday in Jos when featured as a guest preacher at the thanksgiving service of the Correspondent Chapel,Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, Plateau state Council in COCIN LCC Gigiring Hwolshe.

Reading from the books of Isaiah 52:7, Psalms68:11, Songs of Solomon 8:2, Mark13:10, Romans10:15 and Ephesians 6:15; titled " Role of media in peace building:a biblical perspective, Rev.Pam mentioned that Journalists are light and salt of the society.

He call Journalists to always adhere to the ethics of the profession and report what unit the society.

"Nigeria is currently facing to thread of insecurity, violence, criminality, natural disaster and agitations."

Rev.Pam also call on citizens to always be security vigilant and charged religious and political leaders to desist from incite comments.

Pastor in charge of COCIN LCC Gigiring Hwolshe Rev. William J. Istifanus admonished Journalists to be faithful in their work and uphold the sanctity of calling

"Be courageous and make a difference in this pervasive generation where speaking the truth has become difficult."

Mr. Gyang Bere appreciate the Church for granting Journalists the opportunity to come before God and offer their  sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving for keeping them alive.
