The management committee chairman of Jos North Local Government, Plateau state, Hon. Shehu Usman have facilitated Children worldwide on the occasion of this Year 2021 children's day celebration.

Usman in his goodwill message in Jos, the state capital on Thursday, through the senior information officer Philip Eplong, call on the Youths in the area to disregard social vices capable of deteriorating their future.

"I urged youths in my area and beyond to shun anti social behaviours such as; cultism, drug abuse and examination malpractice."

Instead, the Chairman said students should focus on their studies which will bring hope on their future  and that of the country.

He equally call on government at all levels to strive and provide a conducive learning environment  that would enhance, deepen and expand frontiers of knowledge. Nothing that, maintaining rigorous training of teachers to meet up with the speed of modern teaching techniques is key.

The Chairman used the occasion to appeal to parents not to relent in their effort, by sending their wards to schools, especially girls. Stressing, the education of a girl reduces infant and maternal mortality and discourages early child marriages. 

He challenged parents and guardians to be responsible enough and adequately take care of their children as they are the future leaders.
