A group known as Youth and Civil Society Coalition for Development (YCSCD) has vowed to institute legal action against any group or individual bent on threatening the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of Nigerians.

The group said as agents of peace is high time to strive and end the activities of such scrupulous elements who hide under religion and ethnicity creating confusion, nothing that "Nigeria is the only country we have!"

YCSCD national President, Comrade Aminu Aminu make the pronouncement on Saturday in Jos, Plateau state capital during the official unveiling of peace sensitization campaign titled:" The role of Youths in maintaining law and order, unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria."
Aminu revealed that the essence of organizing the event is that, "you would recall President Mohammadu Buhari declared June 12 as Democracy Day. So we found that some scrupulous elements are using some Youths to go against the wishes of Mr. President that Mr. President must to go.

"We came out en-masse and told them that there is a legal and legitimate way where if you have a complain or problem that you can go and laid your complain.
We utter with dismay and we come out and do a solidarity rally on the June 12 that is the democracy day. 

"Then, from there we look at it critically and observed that there is a need for us to go out across the six geopolitical zones that we are having in this country, across the 36 states to Preach peace, to preach unity, to preach law and order.

 "As a youths we are the victim of circumstances, some people are using us. Some people are giving us money to go and do what is not supposed doing.


"We are going to all the 36 states of the Federation campaigning for youth not to be violence that will lead to destruction of public institutions in the named of protest. We will not take it lightly. Very soon we will start taking legal action against those people who are using the youths to cause confusion in this country", Aminu mentioned

He pleaded with the youths to give them maximum support and cooperation to deliver on their mission, noting that their mobilization cutting across the 774 Local Governments of the Federation.

He also charged Nigerian youths to be very focus on what they are doing, calm, loyal and law abiding citizens as 2023 general elections is round the corner.
However, the director general of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mallam Kashifu Abdullahi who was a keynote speaker, said youth represent the highest percentage of Nigeria population as they contributes a lot to the socio-economic development of the country.

He said:" it is critical for government to engage youths in a meaningful decision making process.

Mrs Rhoda Damulak said Nigeria is at perennial time as result of social vices. "We need to upload the desire of a family united in differences and diversity in order to build a sustainable world of peace, solidarity and harmony."
