The Commissioner of commerce and industry in Plateau State, Hon. Joseph Abbey Aku has condemned in strong terms the killings of innocent citizens in Ta'agbe village of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

Recall Ta'agbe village of Miango district witnessed unwarranted attack by unknown assailants where about ten (10)people including children were reportedly killed and thirty (30) houses burnt down beyond recognition.

Our correspondent learned that the attackers invaded the village in the early hours of Friday morning and unleashed terror on the helpless villagers.

In press statement issued to Journalists in Jos the state capital on Friday, Hon. Aku vehemently acknowledged that the attack is another attempt by criminal minded persons to disrupt the hard earned peace and putting the state in a bad light.

Aku who is aspiring for the position of National Assembly member in the forthcoming Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency Bye-election noted with concerned that" the increasing waves of attack of innocent and defenceless people in Miango with no justification.

" It is high time for security agencies to act swiftly to unravel and Unmasked those behind the attacks."

While sympathizing with the families victims of those killed, Hon. Aku said the attack is clearly the handiwork of criminals that bent on instilling fear, pains and sorrow among the people.

He called on the good people of Ta'agbe community to always be vigilant and alert the security agencies on any suspicious Movement.

He charged Government to workout modalities in providing relief items that would cushion effects of suffering of the affected persons.
