For the umpteenth time, the Plateau state  All Progressive Congress,APC, Governorship candidate in the 2023 election, Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda has been strongly advised to consider Hon. Philip Asanato Adik as his running mate for landslide victory.

This is contained in a press statement signed  by one, Iliya Dauda Maigari, Chairman of a group known as "APC Active Youths Integrity Group" and copies made available to journalists in Jos on Wednesday 22nd June, 2022.

The group noted that its position was against the backdrop of the fact that Adik has adequately utilized his years in his political sojourn earning him respect and popularity across different backgrounds.

The group stated that as a young person who has performed credibility well in the political arena over the years, Adik is an asset to the APC and his joint ticket with Dr. Yilwatda (a man whose integrity and credibility has been testified by personalities and organizations outside the shores of this country), 
would be sure way to victory and an undeniable fact that can be taken to bank.

"We believe there is no political party (in the history of Plateau State) that has ever paraded array of qualitative, competent and credible Gubernatorial Aspirants as the APC did during the just concluded primary. 

"We are positive that the delegates must have a hectic time in making Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda their choice. But of course, it has to be one person to fly the flag of the party and Dr. Nentanwe happened to be the person. 


"A man of competence and credibility. He has been tried, tested and proved. His vision rightly captured the wish and aspiration of the Plateau man. It is therefore, appropriate to bring on board a person of similar virtues to help paddle the Boat of vision to the promise land. 

"It is on record that so much has been said about Philip Asanato Adik regarding his competence and credibility for deputy Governor and we can't agree less. 

"It is for this reason that we make this statement as we consider it a burden on our shoulders if we don't add a voice to the call by many for the best for our party. 

"We have watched him over the years and we can vouch for his capacity and capability. He is loyal, intelligent, diligent, committed and hardworking. 

"It is equally on record and true party loyalists would attest to the fact that he has brought these qualities to bear within the short period he has been the State Organizing Secretary of our party".

The group further held that as a young person, Adik would be results-driven and focus on the need to achieve their vision. "Though it's not every young person that is given to foresight, Adik is exceptionally different and he must appreciate God for this. 

"As mentioned earlier, he been into politics for quite sometimes and contested series of elections, winning some and loosing some. But one thing that has endeared him to our minds is his commitment and passion to achieving his mission and goal. 

"We therefore, believe that Philip Asanato Adik, popularly known as Adalci would bring enthusiasm and optimism to the Next generation trends".

For the past one week, the media (both conventional and unconventional) have been a washed with reports of opinions of critical stakeholders of the ruling APC calling on its governorship candidate Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda to pick Philip Asanato Adik as running mate to ensure smooth victory for the party in the election scheduled for next year.
