Over the years Nigeria has been set on the path of achieving success but unfortunately ethnic chauvinism, Religious intolerance, economic downturn has set the nation to be one of the most dangerous countries to live in according to the Global Security Index report, despite these challenges the efforts and strategies put in place by the Nigerian military has reduced significantly the scourge of security breach through various kinetic and non kinetic approach which has positioned the military to operate Optimally to her full potentials. These initiatives have yielded positive impacts on the general security and territorial intergrity of the country, the military has retaken territories formerly under the control of separatist groups and terrorists, kidnapped victims have regained freedom, uncovering gun running cartel networks and combating criminality in whatever form.

      These efforts have built confidence and has reassured Nigerians that the country can actualize the attainment of total peace and security which will translate to a thriving economy and peaceful coexistence despite our very complex diversity. We therefore use this medium to celebrate and confer an achievement Award to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), our gallant men and officers of the Nigerian Army for their sacrifices and relentless efforts in defending our country's territorial integrity and securing lives and properties of Nigerians.
