The member representing Jos North-North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Ibrahim Baba Hassan has described youths as a key drivers in nation building.

Hon.Hassan who is the standard bearer of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency in 2023 general elections acknowledged that for any community, society and nation to attend appreciable growth or development there is a need for active and constructive involvement of the youths

The Law maker, Baba Hassan who was represented by the Secretary of APC in Jos North LGA,Barr. Paul Zaruma made the assertion during the official unveiling of the new executive members of Anaguta Youth Movement,AYM, National body on Sunday, held at the renowned citadel of learning, University of Jos Multipurpose Auditorium.

He said Anaguta Nation are strategic stakeholders who over the years play a significant role in the peaceful coexistence of Plateau and Nigeria as a whole.

He also pledged unflinching support and collaboration for Anaguta Nation in the areas of youth empowerment and skills acquisition.

However, the national president of Anaguta Youth Movement,AYM, Comrade Emmanuel Madaki said their emergence at the position of leadership usher in another historic moment in the annals of Anaguta Nation.

Madaki appreciates the youths both at home and in diaspora for trusting them with their mandate to pilot the affairs of AYM for three years term.

According to him, " the aim of the movement is to foster unity,peace, solidarity and progress amongst Anaguta, and other youths. This is to enable peaceful coexistence as well as positioning in order to compete meaningfully and favourably with counterparts in the more technologically advanced society."

The AYM president also assured that the incoming executive members would focus priority attention on three thematic areas aim at  galvanizing, deepening and entrenching development in Anaguta land. This areas includes; unity of purpose and peaceful coexistence, strategic engagement with relevant stakeholders as well as addressing security challenges.

In their goodwill messages, Ujah Anaguta, His Royal Majesty, Pozoh Johnson Jauro Magaji II, represented by the District Head of Targwong, His Royal Highness Aminu Maisamari Dogo, and the National President of Anaguta Development Association, ADA, Hon. Daniel Garba while congratulating the new AYM executives charged them to remain resolute and run an inclusive governance devoid of sentiment or parochial interest.

The duo challenged Anaguta Sons and daughters to embrace education and entrepreneurship, and never to indulge in drug abuse, alcoholism, prostitution and other social vices that would destabilize their future.

They also called on all and sundry to rally round support for the executive members, noting that the responsibility before them is multitasking.

Other executive members of Anaguta Youth Movement who would serve three years term alongside the president, Comrade Emmanuel Madaki includes; Comrade Michael Garba vice president, Comrade Samson Chiroma Yohanna Secretary general, assistant secretary Danbako Noah Padi, Treasurer Na'omi Ladi Haruna, Financial Secretary Naru Daniel, P.R.O Barr. Mathew Gimba, Director of research and statistics Eric Bosh, Director of Socials, sports and cultural affairs Danjuma Sani and internal auditor Yohanna N.Bature respectively.
