A grassroots political group in the Plateau Central Zone, the Door-2-Door Ambassadors have declared their unwavering support for the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda.
The Chief convener of the Door-2-Door Ambassadors, Nde Sam Piwuna, who disclosed this in Pankshin at the inauguration of the ward coordinators of the group, said that the idea of the group derived from his wealth of experience as a one two time Aspirant of the APC, and his conviction that the Nentawe /Botmang ticket had the potential to move Plateau State to greater heights and bring significant development, peace, and unity in the state, owing to their credentials and pedigree.
He added that the philosophy of the movement, which is ‘catching big fishes with small trolley' would go a long way in selling the candidature of Dr Nentawe, is also intended to expand the reach and add value to the campaign strategies of the APC in the state .
Nde Piwuna charged the coordinators, which he said were selected based on informed recommendations and positive testimonies about them, to properly strategize and harmonise their efforts for the success of the APC at the polls.
He urged other zones in the State to key into this noble mode of campaigning to attract potential voters that may not necessarily be card-carrying members of the APC. Chairman of the event, Nde John Gobak, in his speech, emphasised the need for all interest groups involved in campaigning for the APC to eschew rivalry and unhealthy competition and any tendency that would hinder unity and promote working at cross purposes.
Nde Gobak, who was represented by Nde Sumon Ngwan, also called on the Plateau State Central Campaign Council to support the DOOR-2-DOOR AMBASSADORS FOR NENTAWE/BOTMANG and then officially inaugurated the Ambassadors and T-shirts, Stickers and pamphlets dedicated to Dr Nentawe and his running mate.
The highpoint of the event was the official inauguration of the ward Coordinators and unveiling of the T-shirts, Pamphlets, and Stickers by the former Chairman of Kanke LGA ,Nde Simon Ngwan .
Other important dignitaries at the event were the Chief Host and the Co-host of the event ,the Chairman of Kanke and Pankshin LGCs respectively .
