I read with utter amazement and disappointment, a statement credited to the APC Plateau state chapter, and signed by it's states PRO, questioning the approval of request sent by the Executive Governor, HE, Caleb Mutfwang to the state legislature, for a loan of 15BN.

While this administration is open to constructive criticisms from stakeholders and concerned citizens, it important to state that it will not hesitate to tackle merchants of disunity and peddlers of false information.

The previous APC led administration, under the leadership of HE Simon Lalong lacks the moral grounds to make such comments as it should be hiding it's head in shame after an abysmal 8 year term with little to show, but the tragedy of imposing a successor in the state, even with the speculated proximity and relationship to the villa.

The previous administration failed to include that it left a whopping N11 billion backlog of salaries and arrears, including those (family and friends) they hurriedly appointed into the service. They also failed to talk about how the states foreign debt profile rose high under their watch.

The already fading public relations officer forgot to mention the mismanagement of funds and maladministration the leader of the rescue team plunged the state into, he forgot to mention the $11million loan approved by FEC for the potato value chain program, on 26th July 2017, and what the funds were used for, it also selectively forgot to mention the N2 billion loan collected for the completion of the Zaria road stadium which after 2 terms of Lalong remain incomplete, what about the bail out funds and Paris club refunds the state received? With all these monies the Lalong administration cannot show places it channelled those monies and therefore thinks everyone is of the same stock or is certainly suffering from what I call "selective amnesia".

The GCM administration is a responsible one and whatever resources are collected will be judiciously and transparently utilized for the benefit of the state, unlike the previous ones who did everything in silence and secrecy.

It is important to reiterate that the N15 billion loan will be used to offset the N11 billion backlog of salaries and arrears left by the previous administration, the remaining funds will be invested in profitable ventures that will profit the economy of the state, especially in the agricultural sector of the state, which happens to be one of the most viable sectors.

It is also pertinent to note on this platform that the loan is a necessary evil needed to rejig the civil service and give life to the economy of the state. It is no news that the foundation of every government is it's civil service/ workforce, and as a civil service state, Gov Mutfwang is poised to reshape and reorientate the states civil service to meet necessary standards.
