Plateau State Football  Association (PFA) had on Thursday 5th October,2023 held it local government elections for the seventeen local government area of Plateau.

The normalization committee headed by Hon.Audu Yakal Buba was set up by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to conduct elections for a new board members in Plateau.

The committee brought out a time table for the elections, where 5th October 2023 was set aside for the conduct of the elections across the local FA's of the state.

At the Northern zone, five local government took part in the election namely; Jos North, Riyom, Bassa, Jos East and Jos South respectively.

In jos North Naziru Sani emerge winner of the election after he gather a total of 3 votes.RIYOM local government now have a new FA Chairman,Moses Badu was declared winner after he pull two votes,Daniel Asama was emerged winner in Bassa local government as Duke Ajiji Arin returned as Chairman in jos east unopposed.

It was a close call in jos South as Paul Gyang emerge winner of the election.

However, at the Southern zone, Aboki Umaru Sanda was elected as the new FA Chairman,while Miri Timnan Nyatau was declear winner after pulling more votes.

Godfrey Ayuba is now the chairman of Langtang North FA after pulling more votes, Hassan Othman Babangida is elected Chairman of Wase FA,in Quanpan Lawal Mohammed Badamasi was declared winner while in Mikang,Wotwai Elisha Bitrus emerge winner of the election.

Preparation is now on top gear for the state local government election that will go down on the 19th of October 2023.

Head of media and publicity of the normalization committee appealed for collaboration amongst football stakeholders on the Plateau to enable the committee succeeded in their mandate.

He assured to provide a level playing ground for all contestants devoid of sentiment.
