Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil was the Chief host at the launch of a book titled "Destiny" held in honour of the late Rev. Emmanuel Kanos, founder of the Parliament Church, Jos.

The Speaker who received Governor Mutfwang and members of the state Executive Council who came in solidarity with the Speaker to his Church, which marked the first anniversary of the passing of the revered cleric, attracted an array of personalities including members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Principal officers, Management staff of the Assembly,  religious leaders, and other well-wishers.

Speaking at the occasion, Naanlong who described the memorial service as a solemn yet inspiring moment, noted that the late Rev. Emmanuel Kanos left behind a remarkable legacy of faith, leadership, and community service.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Mutfwang, members of the State Executive Council, colleagues in the Assembly, and all dignitaries who turned out in solidarity, praying for God’s blessings upon them and their families.

Governor Mutfwang, in his remark, stressed that every human life is destined to fulfill a divine purpose. He emphasised that true success is only achieved when one’s life is interrupted and directed by God to accomplish the assignment of destiny on earth, a virtue which the late cleric exemplified during his lifetime.

Reviewing the book, titled "Destiny," Professor Funmi Para-Mallam observed that the work presents destiny as a divine journey, predetermined by God, and designed to expose evil while equipping individuals to fulfill their earthly assignments.

Goodwill messages came from the  representatives of former Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, Senator James Manager, several other cleric, family members, and friends who paid glowing tributes to the life and Ministry of the late Rev. Emmanuel Kanos.
