Mrs Josephine Piyo, Deputy Governor Plateau State

Plateau State Deputy governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo, has congratulated teachers in the state on the occasion of World Teachers Day, which is commemorated on October 5 each year. 

Piyo in a congratulatory message appreciated teachers for their unique roles and immense contribution to the development of the society, particularly in transforming and shaping the future of education in amid the growing societal needs and challenges. 

She also appreciated teachers for their doggedness and dedication in instilling knowledge and grooming best minds in the state and nation as a whole.

The deputy governor further urged them to have an unwavering commitment and dedication to their noble profession and renewed commitment to duty. 

She stated that the Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led administration is determined to develop the educational sector and uphold the interest and welfare of teachers in Plateau state to enable it compete favorably in contemporary society.
