Governor Caleb Mutfwang

Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, expressed gratitude to the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation for extending aid to Internally Displaced Persons across Mangu, Bokkos, Barkin-Ladi, and other Local Government Areas of the state.

Governor Mutfwang conveyed his appreciation on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation, led by Pastor Arinze Emmanuel, at the Old Government House Rayfield, Jos.

He lauded the Foundation's interventions as a demonstration of fulfilling the biblical principle which emphasizes the responsibility of the strong to support the weak in fostering unity and peace within society.

Governor Mutfwang highlighted the importance of providing assistance to victims of violence in the state and acknowledged that such gestures would significantly alleviate their suffering. He thanked the Servant of God for his dedication to the welfare of IDPs in Plateau and other affected states in the nation.

Explaining his administration's focus on resettling displaced persons to their ancestral homes to resume farming activities and enhance national food security, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the urgency of this resettlement, considering that the displaced are uncomfortable living away from their homes and livelihoods.

The leader of the delegation, Pastor Arinze Emmanuel, commended Governor Mutfwang's commitment to resettling IDPs and stated their readiness to provide further assistance to the displaced population. He acknowledged the Governor's efforts in transforming Plateau through infrastructural development, dialogue, and reconciliation.

Pastor Emmanuel assured the Governor of their collaboration with his administration to improve the living conditions and livelihoods of the victims.
