Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo, has restated the Governor Caleb Mutfwang-led administration’s commitment to strengthen the creative industry in the State. 

Piyo made this known when she received a delegation led by Barr. Ezra Jinang, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Plateau State, on Creativity, at her residence in Jos on Friday, noting that she was proud of the state’s strong footing in art and culture.

“Plateau State is where creativity thrives, we are blessed with a lot of talented people, and our government will continue to support this vibrant community because we believe in its power to transform our state and our economy.

“The likes of Ezra Jinang have been instrumental during the campaigns and continue to support this government, not only that his songs had a positive impact on the coming of this government, but it has further brought about unity amongst people in the state. 

The Deputy Governor added that the state will invest more in developing and promoting her creative minds, adding that the industry is posited to providing more job opportunities and adding significantly to the state’s Gross Domestic Product.

Jinang, while introducing Desmond Dayit, an artist who drew a portrait of the Deputy Governor, appreciated the government for always supporting creativity in the state.

He stated that his office would continue to explore the good potentials of the creative industry in the state and harness it for productivity and growth. 

Presenting the portrait to the Deputy Governor, Dayit expressed gratitude to the state government for providing citizens especially the youths with platforms to realise their dreams and showcase their talents.
