An NGO, Peace Cord, has organised a two-day sensitisation workshop on peace building and harmonious coexistence for youths in Plateau.

Speaking at the event, Mr Kenneth Ameh, the Executive Director of the organisation, said the event was part of activity commemorating the 2024 International Peace Day.

He explained that the workshop was organised in collaboration with another NGO, Bellweather International.

Amen explained that participants were drawn from communities across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.

''Peace as we all know is a process and we must all participate in this process.

''The role of young people toward a united and peaceful community can not be overemphasised; this is why we are all here.

''The energy we put in the recent end bad governance protest should also be channel toward promoting peace in our society.

''So, we are here to brainstorm and rob minds as young people toward ensuring Plateau is peaceful,''he said.

Ameh commended all the groups and organisations who are working toward ensuring lasting peace in the state.
