The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Barr. John Christopher has advocates for robust synergy and collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of the council for effective service delivery.

Christopher made the passionate appeal on Tuesday at the council secretariat during the oath-taking of the newly appointed security of the council, Pharm. Samuel Gyang I Ishaya and inauguration 20 councillors elect.

He tasked the council scribe to bring his wealth of experience to bear as the council is in dire need of positive transformation.

Turning to the elected councillors, the council chairman urged them to consider their elections as a call for service to humanity.

According to him, "the public had given us the trust and mandate, let us work in partnership and synergy for good governance in Jos North."

"We should continue promoting unity of purpose devoid of religion, ethnic or party sentiment."

The council Boss also appreciates Governor Caleb Mutfwang for creating a conducive and peace atmosphere where the best ever local councils elections conducted in the history of Plateau.

Former member representing Jos North-West constituency in the state Assembly and now special adviser to Governor Mutfwang, Esther Simi Dusu appeal to both elected representative and appointees to prioritize human empowerment to enhance dividends of democracy to the electorates.

The immediate past Transition Implementation Committee chairman of the council, Hon. Samuel Dala Umaru alongside PDP chairman Jos North, Elijah Itsegot, while congratulating the new executives and legislatures not to be carry away by the euphoria of their victory, rather they should prepared for the challenges ahead noting that "to whom much is given much is expected".

In another development, Jos North council chairman received communication from the clerk of the council, Philip Atsen that Job Ayuba Izang emerged as leader of the legislative arm while Okoro Uzoma Anthony deputy leader.

Other principals officers includes; Moses Dawang-majority leader as well as Muhammad Yunus- deputy majority leader.
