His spiritual convictions have consistently influenced his approach to leadership, as he advocates for peace, justice, and community healing—principles that have been particularly vital in Plateau State, a state often challenged by ethno-religious strife. His commitment to these values has propelled his political philosophy, emphasizing reconciliation and restorative leadership, especially in times of conflict.

The project garnered praise from community leaders, including the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, CFR, for its humanitarian significance.
A Respected Leader

Conclusion: A Legacy in the Making
Senator Istifanus Dung Gyang’s tenure in the national assembly represented a commitment to peace, development, and empowerment. His multifaceted approach to leadership—spanning education, economic empowerment, infrastructure, and community rehabilitation—has significantly transformed Plateau North. However, despite his sterling performance and unwavering dedication to his constituency, Senator Gyang was unjustly denied the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to contest the 2023 elections by a few self-serving individuals. This act has deprived the people of Plateau North the vital legislative voice they had grown to depend on. His absence from the National Assembly in 2023 left a significant void, as the constituency is left without proper representation in the legislative process during a critical period for national development.
Despite being out of office his work serves as a testament to the power of servant leadership, as he continues to inspire hope and deliver tangible results to his people.
The scriptures remind us that "By their fruits, you shall know them" (Matthew 7:16). The fruits of Senator Gyang’s
labor are evident in the empowered lives and thriving communities of Plateau North.
