Dr. Abdullazeez Daiyabu is a medical practitioner, a lecturer and a scholar who ventured into political arena, aspiring to represent the good people Kantana Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly come 2027 general elections.

Dr. Daiyabu who is the chieftain of People Democratic Party (PDP), recently in this chat with DANIEL DAUDA in Jos, shed his thought on how to change the narrative of representation in Kantana Constituency if given the mandate in 2027 to served.

He said effective and qualitative is very essential in entrenching good governance. Therefore, having been fully aware with the peculiar challenges confronting the good people of Kantana his passion to serve, unite, and uplift the living condition of the people hinge on peace and security, agriculture and rural development, youths and women empowerment.

Question: Please sir can you briefly introduce yourself?

Well, I am Dr. Abdullazeez Daiyabu. I held from Yelwan Garga, Kyaram ward in Kanam local government area of Plateau State. I am a medical practitioner, a lecturer, and also a scholar.

Question: We made to understand that come 2027 general elections, you are vying for the seat of House of Assembly in Plateau State for Kantana Constituency. Having come from the medical background there are a lot of politicians who held from the same constituency and they served in various capacity before now also contesting same position. Are you not intimidated?

Daiyabu: well, all I know is that in this life even at your own comfort zone there are challenges, come to talk of politics. So the issue of intimidation I can tell you hundred percent that I am not intimidated even though I know that there are so many challenges.

Of course, I am a medical personnel but I have worked with many politicians, so many of them and I have seen how they tackle their own issues, I see some of them how they managed their own challenges and of course I would go by their method to solve my own challenge too. I don't think is not going to make me feel intimidated in any way.

Question: What platform are contesting for and what makes you think that your party is going to win elections in Kanam local government?

Daiyabu: I am contesting on the platform of almighty People Democratic Party (PDP). And of course  PDP is obvious to you and me with what is going on in the state. In fact we're blessed with a workaholic governor in the person of His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mutfwang the make our party look so enthusiastic in the face of the people. In fact he has done so many things that you can see, you can feel,and you can even touch. So with that, and what is going on, before then, in our own constituency we don't know what is governance. We're only indulging the politics. It is only when PDP came into power that were now feeling and even touching the dividends of democracy. So this is what prompted me to contest under the platform of PDP.

Question:What will be your take concerning this insinuation that Kanam local government is APC?

Daiyabu:Let me tell you categorically that Kanam local government is not APC. May be before but now with the current dispensation of Governor Mutfwang and other oga at the top, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Ephraim Usman, He has turned Kanam to be PDP and PDP is Kanam. 

Question:what message do you have for people of Kanam?

Daiyabu: the message I have for the people of Kanam is that let continue with the belief that we had, and let support and appreciates what our governor is doing because if you appreciate more would come.

So I want to urged the people of Kanam support PDP because PDP is the party that would take us to promised land, and is the party that keeps to it promise. Because when a full PDP man tells you that I am going to do this definitely you will see it on ground. We're not social media politicians that may be we will just going Commissioning things on sir and at the end of the day you will not go and see a tangible thing on ground.

But with what PDP is doing on the Plateau. Governor Caleb Mutfwang definitely change what PDP look like before, and with the people we have supporting the governor like chief Ephraim Usman, the incoming senator, what he is doing in Kanam, in fact, is obvious that even a child that is not born the echo of what is doing at least the child will feel it. Word cannot express how the people of Kanam are excited.

Question: okay when you made mentioned chief Ephraim Usman can you summarise some of this projects which he has been doing?

Daiyabu: you cannot just sit here and listen what Chief Ephraim Usman is doing because he has done a lot. In fact uncountable.
