The Plateau State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has honoured the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda with an Award of Excellence for Humanitarian Services, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to humanity and community development.
The award presentation, held at the Crispan Hotel in Jos, brought together journalists, media executives, and dignitaries from across the state to celebrate individuals who have distinguished themselves in service to society.
The presentation was performed by the Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Joyce Ramnap, who Represents the Plateau State Governor ,Brr. Caleb Mutfwan. She Congratulated Professor Nentawe on the recognition and commended the NUJ for upholding professionalism and celebrating excellence beyond political affiliations.
Receiving the award, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda dedicated the honour to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the people of Plateau State, and members of the media community, appreciating journalists for their role in deepening democracy and national cohesion.
Professor Nentawe, who was represented by the former Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Ambassador Shehu Bals Usman, expressed gratitude to the NUJ for the recognition.
He assured that under his leadership, the APC will continue to strengthen its partnership with the media to promote good governance, peace, and inclusive national development.
The APC National Chairman further reaffirmed the commitment of the ruling party to building bridges across political divides, fostering unity among Nigerians, and supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of citizens, stressing that the media remains a vital partner in achieving these shared national goals.
