The Mutfwang Again Initiative, ably led by its Convener, Elvis Katlong,has officially unveiled the new logo for the Kwarak Cultural Dance Troupe during a courtesy visit to the Palace of Chief (Dr.) Clement S. Wetkur (JP), the District Head of Bwonpe District, Mangu Local Government Area.

The delegation was warmly received by the District Head, who described the visit as “a homecoming,” recognizing Elvis Katlong as a proud son of the land whose name truly reflects the gesture. 

Chief Wetkur expressed deep excitement about the development and commended His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, for his visionary leadership, grassroots inclusion, and deliberate efforts in advancing the cultural and social renaissance of the state.
In his address, the District Head declared 2025/2026 as the Year of Return for sons and daughters of Bwonpe, encouraging indigenes both home and abroad to contribute to the development, unity, and advancement of their people.

During the event, Elvis Katlong, on behalf of the Mutfwang Again Initiative, presented the Kwarak Cultural Dance Troupe with newly branded outfits, promotional materials, a cash donation, and other gift items aimed at boosting the group’s visibility and morale. 

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting local creative groups and aligning with the Governor’s mission of empowering the grassroots through cultural preservation and
innovation.
In their remarks, the Kwarak Cultural Dance Group expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency for his continued encouragement of cultural expression across Plateau State.

They praised the Governor’s inclusive governance style and unanimously endorsed him for a second term, pledging to use their platform to promote peace, unity, and the Mwaghavul
heritage.

The event featured energetic performances, blessings from the District Head, and the symbolic unveiling of the new logo marking a new dawn for the Kwarak Cultural Dance Troupe and reinforcing Bwonpe’s proud cultural identity.
