Ephraim Usman called the victims to his office, "on reaching his office we saw Kanke Local Government Chairman Hon. "The commissioner welcome us and thereafter he told us that the Governor of Plateau State has directed him that those arrested in the case should be release on bail so that the local government should go and look into the matter.

"With respect to the governor we accepted and the following people who were arrested were released on bail they are:Yunusa Dungkolma,Tenwa, John Bumwa,
Augustine Gongchip,Dortuwa Bichor, Shirka Golak, Alphonsus Joel,Tongshinung Daniel as well as Ayuba Augustine respectively."

The family victims expressed dismay with the way and manner in which such matter is being handled by the authorities concerned as they demand for justice.

"To our own dismay since this suspect were release the local government chairman did nothing on the matter after waiting for a long time, we went to the police at CID Jos but all what we hear was that we should go and beg the chairman and when we go back to the chairman he was nowhere to be seen on several occasion.

"However, we feel that the police and the local government chairman are trying to shield the suspect arrested and those at large to escape justice.

They urge well spirited Nigerians of good conscious to stand and resist any action tantamount to justice, peace, and tranquility.

"It will interest you to know that before the release of the suspect the local government chairman wrote an undertaking before the police that he was going to settle the matter and feed the police back either negative or positive.
We believe that no one has the right to killed and burnt people houses and be allowed to go free.

"We therefore want justice for our late brother and those that lost their houses as a result of such barbaric action",  they have noted.
