Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has encouraged citizens and party faithful in Kanam and Langtang North Local Government Areas to participate fully in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise in order to receive their temporary membership cards and strengthen the party at the grassroots.
The Speaker stated this while joining the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, and Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang during the flag-off ceremonies of the APC e-registration exercise held in Kanam and Langtang North.
He described the exercise as a critical step toward consolidating party unity, internal democracy, and effective participation in party activities.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong commended the national and state leadership of the APC for selecting Kanam and Langtang North to commence the exercise, noting that the decision reflects confidence in the commitment of the people to the growth and stability of the party in Plateau State.
Speaking in Kanam and Langtang North Local Government Areas, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang expressed appreciation to the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, the National Chairman of the APC, Commissioners, members of the National Assembly, and other party stakeholders for their support and cooperation in strengthening the party and promoting unity across the state.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, assuring citizens that government programmes and interventions, including agricultural support such as fertiliser distribution, would be implemented without discrimination.
He called on party members to remain united and work together for the collective progress and development of Plateau State.
In his remarks, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, declared that APC members in Plateau State are one family, stressing that all past political differences are now behind them.
He explained that previous political contests and disagreements were based on ideology and the interest of the state, not personal issues, noting that the party is now united and open to all.
Prof. Yilwatda expressed confidence in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu to provide purposeful direction and national unity, urging party members to return to their wards and Local Governments to complete their registration and actively participate in party activities.
Plateau State Chairman of the APC, Rufus Bature, described Kanam as the heartbeat of the party as well as the love of the party to Tarok nation and appealed to citizens to ensure they complete both their NIN and APC registrations, noting that possession of a valid membership card determines recognition within the party.
Goodwill messages were received from members of the National Assembly, Commissioners, the Secretary to the State Government, and other stakeholders, who all pledged unity and support for the success of the e-registration exercise.
The APC delegation also paid separate courtesy visits to traditional rulers in Kanam and Langtang North Local Government Areas, where they received royal blessings and assurances of support for peace, unity, and development.
