Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Naanlong Daniel, has been successfully screened and cleared by the state All Progressives Congress, APC Screening Committee, ahead of the party’s House of Assembly primary election for the 2027 polls.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel appeared before the Committee where his credentials and other relevant documents were verified and assessed in line with the guidelines of the party.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, the Speaker appreciated the leadership of the APC and members of the screening Committee for conducting what he described as a transparent, peaceful, and credible process.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the party and pledged to continue providing purposeful leadership, effective representation, and legislative support towards the growth and development of Plateau State.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel also called on party members to remain united and focused as the party prepares for the APC House of Assembly primary election and the 2027 general elections.
Plateau State APC Chairman, Rufus Bature, who supervised the screening exercise, congratulated the Speaker on his successful screening and clearance, describing the exercise as smooth and in accordance with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.
Bature commended the Speaker for his conduct during the exercise and urged party members to continue promoting unity, peace, and internal democracy within the APC.
