In line with the Federal and Plateau State Governments plans to curb the spreads of Corona Virus (COVID 19) in Jos North Local Government Area,the Management Committee Chairman of the Council, Shehu Bala Usman has called on the leadership of all the motor parks and Try circle owners within the Area to ensure that all passengers patronize their services strictly adhere to the safety measures.
According to a statement by senior information officer, Eplong said the Council Boss gave the charge in Jos, while reminding them of the protocols to be adhered to, which includes; avoiding mass gathering and over crowding of passengers, constant usage of face mask, the mandatory use of hand sanitizer, maintenance of two metre social distance and regular washing of their hands.
Hon. Shehu Bala Usman equally admonished the populace living within the locality to obey the guidelines put in place by government, warning that the second wave of corona virus has devastating consequences given the global number of casualties recorded on its return.
The Chairman informed that, already the Local Government Council has already Constituted a Committee to monitor and take appropriate actions on any car park, their owners as well as Try circle owners in the Local Government who flout the directive.
He also reminded citizens of the existence of Federal Government curfew from 10pm to 4am that is still effective, cautioned against unnecessary arrest and possible prosecution.
