National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS) has endorsed Amb. Yohanna Margif to join the race for governorship of Plateau in the 2023 general elections under the platform of ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The leadership of NAPSS cutting across various Tertiary Institutions Unions of Plateau said Margif is a philanthropist that have capacity to change the narrative of governance in the state.

Speaking during the occasion of the media declaration persuading Amb. Yohanna Margif to contest for the position of governorship of Plateau, held at Retna Hotel, Jos South LGA on Saturday, NAPSS President Comrade Bamle Guntim said "Nigerian students seek for better and good leadership".

Explaining the rationale on why the choice of Amb. Margif, Guntim acknowledged that Plateau citizens are anticipating for good governance come 2023 and only him (Amb.Yohanna Margif) that can address the economy, infrastructure development, health care, education, employment and other basic needs of the state.

He said another reason why NAPSS is advocating for his candidature because he has impacted in the lives of students and individuals far and near.

" He is a successful business man who if given the mandate will input his body versatile bank of Knowledge and experience as a business tycoon to improve the economy of the state.

"He is a peace builder and initiator who has constructed churches and mosque as well as rendered assistance to some families who were affected by crisis in some states such as; Plateau, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Taraba, Niger and Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

"He has also sponsored countless students across the state, facilitated a lot of project in schools and recently he is spearheading the completion of the ongoing NAPSS in FCE Pankshin.

"Going by his track records, I hereby wish to make clarion call to all students populace, stakeholders and well-meaning Plateau State citizens to support the candidature of Chief Amb.Dr. Yohanna Margif to contest for governorship of Plateau State 2023", NAPSS President mentioned.

In a swift reaction, Amb. Yohanna Margif said what NAPSS has done is not for themselves but for typical Plateau citizens.

Margif who was represented by Comrade Solomon Ndam stressed " it is high time to change the narrative of governance in Plateau by having young people taking the lead."

He assured that if given Amb. Yohanna Margif the mandate to serve Plateau in 2023 he ready to run an inclusive government.
