In developed economies and advanced technologies globally. Government has two types of distribution mechanism of it's resources, distributive and Redistributive policy.

1. Distribution Policy. This is the general style of sharing accrued revenues in the country between the local government or county, state government or region and Federal Government or center. This policy is for the purpose of using the resources for development.

Nigeria is very common with this style of distribution, that is what they do every Wednesday at the Federal executive council meeting where Federal Government share money across other Governmental facets and agencies.

2. Redistribution or Redistributive plan in other hand is the opposite of distribution Policy.

Here, Government take or harness resources from the rich or wealthy citizens and use the money garner to give or help the poor.

The purpose of the fund gathering is to better the lots of the poor citizens or the have not.

This is the secret of great countries aides advancement and loan assistance to poorer people or nation across the globe. Nigeria Government should consider this policy in other to advanced education and promote lecturers welfare in general.

ASUU STRIKE SOLUTION: NEW DIMENSION

It is pertinent for Government to look for a smooth way of solving this academic problem since there is no fund for education and academic calendar is being affected yearly.

What ASUU have been asking for the past 13 years of it struggle is good welfare package to it's members and conducive learning environment to the students. Nothing more. All those big grammars fall into two categories of:

1. Staffers welfare or good salary package

2. Healthy and good learning environment for Students with state of the arts facilities.

Government should adopt the Redistributive plan to see how to solve this problem since it claim not to have money to end the strike since 2009 and prior to this, ASUU Strike has occurred more than 40 times across boards.

How will Government solve the problem using this Redistributive policy?

Simple, get 15-20 willing billionaires and good spirited individuals who love the nation to partner with the lecturers and Students.

Ask them to support education funding in the country. I trust that they will be willing to because ASUU strike is a thing of national concern.

Some of them may donate 2,3 billion to 5 billion naira towards this plan and less but a reasonable amount to end the strike.

I believe, if they give generously and graciously towards this plan. The problem of ASUU will be handled.

If Government can't do it alone. The citizen- government  strategy will do it.

Let this style be adopted and considered to help parents and their wards to get better education.

Furtherance to this, Government can extend this plan to NGOs and key multinationals.

If these cry is cried well  void of shame and with absolute humility, deference, soberness and  sincerity, Government will solve the ASUU strike quagmire permanently, forthwith and immediately.

I am a concern Nigerian, trying to think for Government on strategy to end the strike.

The truth is, lecturers condition of service is poor in Nigeria because:

a. Gatekeepers at CBN and NNPC earn far better than lecturers in Nigeria

b. Thugs earn better than professors in Nigeria (P. Obi 2022)

c. Government seems to value party Politics more than education.

d. Government sees investment in education as a privilege or favour to the educators and Students not a right.
