Monday the 15th day of August, 2022 was the day the constituents of Jos North West defilade the weather and against all odds to add their voice to the debate on the reconstruction of the burnt Terminus market. The convener of the meeting and the member representing Jos North West constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. ESV. Esther Simi Dusu, had earlier admonished the participants to be free and bare their minds without a feeling of coarsion or intimidation on the subject matter, as  their inputs will help guide the government in taking a decision that will be good and fair to all.

Also contributing, the Jos North council Boss, Hon. Shehu Bala, took time to explain how the government settled on the partnership with JAIZ BANK after weighing several options. He encouraged the participants to support the move as it's aimed at boosting the revenue base of the State in the long run and promised that the government will be fair in the distribution of the shops to the members of the public when completed.

However, some of the participants raised the following observations on the said agreement

1. What parameter did the government used in arriving at the 40 year plan?

2. The safety of the current location

3. Why is the government not considering the option of collecting loan instead of the partnership

4. That time isn't right

5. What happened to the submission of the Plateau indegenes in diaspora's on taking up the project?

6. Can the government be trusted? These and many contributions were recorded.

After and intensed deliberation and to avoid any form of victimization, questionnaires were issued to the participants to independently make their preferences on the questions regarding the 40 year joint partnership. The questionnaires were sorted and analysis made in the presence of the Representatives of:

1. CAN

2. JNI

3. CSO's and

4. PYC as an observer

At the end of the analysis, Jos North West State constituency VOTED NO against the government's plan on the joint partnership agreement on the reconstruction of the Jos main market.
