The state executive council members of Labour Party in Plateau has debunked false reportage circulating in various media platforms that the state chairman Hon. Grace Zamfara has been removed from her position.
The party said all the state executive members of the party are intact discharging their constitutional duties healthy and hearty.
The party stated that the information of Hon. Zamfara removal is the mere imagination of mischief makers to create division in the party.
This was contained in a press release emanated from the public relations officer of Labour Party in Plateau State, Awara James Adara in Jos Monday.
According to the statement, " the attention of the Plateau State Chapter of Labour Party has been drawn to a publication making the rounds to the extent that the Plateau State Chairman of the Party (Hon. Grace Zamfara) has been removed from her position as chairman.
"The State Executive Council of our great Party wishes to inform the general public that all the democratically elected State Officials of the Party are presently functioning in their respective constitutional capacities. No official of the Party has been removed from his/her position’.
"We wish to categorically state that we are fully aware of the scheming and sinister moves by some opposition Parties in the State, planning to sow the seeds of discord among the rank and file of the Party members in Plateau State.
"The growth and general acceptance of the Party by the people on the Plateau has posed treats to these opposition Parties.
"Having critically deliberated on the present situation, the Plateau State Chapter hereby reposed confidence and total support to the candidature of Dr. Patrick Dakum, as the democratically chosen Governorship flag bearer in Plateau State, as Yohanna Margif has been properly substituted in line with the provisions of the 2022 Electoral Act.
"The State EXCO also passed a vote of explicit confidence on Comrade Grace Zamfara as its State Chairman. The Council in session emphases the continues cordial working relationship among the State EXCO and further call on all the teeming supporters and members of Labour Party to continue to render unflinching support to the Party until we deliver Dr. Patrick Dakum to Plateau State Government House Little Rayfield Jos", he mentioned.
