The matter between the ten prospective All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates referred to as the Claimants/Applicants versus the Plateau State All Progressives Congress (APC), referred to as the Defendant/Respondent in the May 26th, 2022 Governorship Primaries at Langfield, Rayfield, Jos that purportedly produced Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has been adjourned to the 26th of October, 2022 for an order of the Honourable Court granting leave to the applicants to amend their originating summons and an order deeming the amended originating summons filed as a separate process as duly filled.

The matter came up in the High Court of Justice of Plateau State, in the Jos Division for hearing at the Justice Ashoms Honourable Court Jos on Tuesday 27th September 2022.

You will recall that ten claimants had approached the court seeking a declaration that the claimants by the constitution of the defendant are eligible and entitled to contest in a delegate election of the defendant(APC) having purchased State delegates forms, a declaration that the list of delegates the defendant used for the conduct of its primaries without conducting an election between contesting delegates is null and void and of no effect whatsoever, a declaration that the primaries of the defendant (APC Plateau State) in preparation of the 2023 General Elections without delegates elections contravenes the extant electoral laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and cost of the action.

The originating summons also raised some germane questions for determination by the Honourable Court.

Leading counsels for the 10 Prospective Delegates also known as claimants/applicants are S.A.Abbah Esq, H.G.Hosea Esq, D.R.Chimaobi Esq and Mabel Osumanyi Esq.

No lawyer came for the Plateau State All Progressives Congress and Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe.
