Engr Jeremiah Satmak, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Plateau State,Barr Caleb Mutfwang has assured that because of the fact that himself and his boss, Governor Mutfwang are from the private sector like the members of the Plateau Publishers Association, they will partner with the owners of Print and Online Publishers of Magazines, Blogs and Newspapers for the rapid socio-economic development of the state. 




Engr Satmak gave the assurance when the Board, Executive Council and members of the Publishers

 Association (PPA) paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Engr Jeremiah Satmak, in his office at Little Rayfield, New Government House office, Jos, on Thursday June 22nd, 2023.


The Chairman of the Assocition, Chief Amb. Nanyah A. Daman, who led the delegation on the courtesy visit, said "It is with great joy and sense of respect that we address you today on the auspicious occasion of a courtesy call on the brand new Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Engr. Jeremiah Satmak.


You have exhibited high sense of responsibility and finesse in leadership to have responded promptly on our request for a courtesy call".


The Chairman stressed that PPA are in his office for the purpose of record, synergy and collaborations with his office.


He further asserted that the the PPA is a twenty-five member organization made up of owners of Print and Online Publishers of Magazines, Newspapers and blogs.


He said Plateau Publishers Association members are employers of Journalists, Printers, Lithographers, Paper Vendors, Internet Experts, workers, e.t.c. in Plateau State with Advertisers, Reporters, Distributors and Correspondents in the 36 States of the Federation, the FCT and globally desirous of partnership and collaboration with the Mutfwang administration.


Amb. Daman hinted that it is worthy of note that despite the contribution of Plateau Publishers Association members to the dissemination of information to the globe from Jos, the employment of Plateau sons and daughters, adding to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), the PPA is not included in the protocol list, traveling to Mecca and Jerusalem and in appointments into Boards, Councils and Parastatals. We seek proper recognition and inclusion in this government.


In his reaction and welcomeremarks, Jeremiah Satmak, the Chief of Staff appreciated the association for the visit and lauded the association's efforts for  being employers of labour and promised to partner with PPA for a robust reportage and economic development of Plateau State.


Satmak Stressed that His Excellency,Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, himself, are from the private sector and assured that the issues raised by PPA concerning its liabilties, offices, the payment of adverts, will be looked into passionately and we'll always do our best to ensure that non of your establishments was shut down and we will do our best to see that we act accordingly.


The seasoned politician thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for finding him worthy and pledged his best efforts to the state's growth and appealed for the support of the populace under the Mutfwang administration where peace and progress will be the watchwords.


Satmak said it is sad and  unfortunate that this administration came and met with the issue of security challenges.


He called on Plateau people to have confidence in Mutfwang's government  adding that the issues of security challenges will be tackled headlong.
