Plateau Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo, has congratulated Engr. Mark Tisho, Director of Works, Shendam LGA, on his retirement after a meritorious service to the state.
Piyo congratulated Tisho during his retirement service held at COCIN Church Shaka, Jos South LGA, on Sunday.
She lauded his dedication to service and diligence when he served in different local government areas in the state.
“You have served this state meritoriously, you have not put the local government to shame and have contributed immensely to the growth of rural communities in the state.
“You have not disappointed God and the people of the state throughout your service years.
''You have also shown dedication and uprightness, your sterling leadership qualities are indeed commendable.
“You are a true professional who has shown by example that excellence is something to aim for daily. You inspire everyone around you to be more and I know that will continue in your retirement.
“Your hard work, dedication and achievements may never be matched. Thank you for everything you have contributed to Riyom local government and its people''.
The deputy governor congratulated him on a remarkable career and extended well wishes for the next phase of his life with his family.
She also called on those still in active service to emulate the qualities of Tisho, adding that such move would move the state forward.
In a sermon, Rev. David Bature, stated that the end of service was more important than the beginning as it marks God’s faithfulness in the life of an individual.
Bature charged leaders in government to serve the people with the fear of God and seek his face in all facets of life.
Transition Committee Chairman of Shendam LGA, Hon. Kemi Nshe, also applauded Engr. Mark Tisho, for his service, describing him as a committed staff who was incorruptible and dedicated to duty.
Nshe while congratulating him on his retirement, urged him to cherish every moment of the time and revel in the new stage of his life
The retiree thanked Almighty God for the opportunity to serve the government of Plateau state for 35 years, stating that his job at different levels has been good and rewarding.
