The peaceful protest was stage at Mararaban Jama'a round about, All Airport Junction and Secretariat junction where the protesters in their numbers assembled in procession condemning the conflicting judgments by the Appellate Court.
The protesters lament that this injustice raised tensions and eyebrows after same court in other cases had declared that the issue of Nomination, Qualifications and Sponsorships all fall under pre election matters but to the surprise of many, all plateau cases came out differently even after the supreme court had declared same in the presidential election petition tribunal.
Immediately combine security agents were drafted to strategic locations to keep virgil of any eventuality that might arise in the course of the protest.
However, during the procession, the security personnel consist of Army clashed with the protesters while in an effort to despairs them which resulted to injuries.
Our correspondent observed that,traffic were disrupted for many hours forcing traders to hurriedly close their shops while passers by ran heltal skeltal for safety.
John Mark, PDP youth leader in a chat our correspondent at the protest venue said, we have to embarked on this peaceful protest because judgments that is going on was not favorable to what the people gave as their mandate.
According to him, "the people gave their mandate but the judges are just dishing out judgment against the party,and that is what were protesting for in which we want the whole world to know of the injustices meted against the party.
Meanwhile, at the time of filling this reports, the situation has been brought under control as people go about their normal business activities.
Recall the Appellate Court nullified seven (7) seats of PDP legislators from Plateau on ground of no party structure.
