Sequel to the unfortunate incident of structural collapsed in Saints Academy school Jos, Senator representing Plateau Northern Senatorial district in the 10th Senate, Dachungyang Pam Mwadkwon has called for thorough investigation.

Saints Academy school which is situated in Busa Buje community, Jos North local government area said to be housing over 400 primary and secondary students have witness a darkened moment following the collapsed building.

Building collapsed that occurred on Friday 12th July, 2024 claimed 22 lives as 155 students sustained degree of injuries.

Senator Mwadkwon who was at the scene on Sunday, while speaking to newsmen after undertaken an under spot assessment of the school described the incident as a big lost and total disaster.
"It is unfortunate that this incidence happened in my senatorial zone. Though lives have lost but we always gave God the glory. Is not the best of time for an institution to have such a total collapsed.

"It is very alarming and annoying to see students who have a better future, whose parents have invest to see that the best has been made for them and along the line something like this happened.Only God know what happened and we will not feel it is somebody who planned it. But it could be a natural occurrence.

"But it is unfortunate that institution of such magnitude fall down best on our technical advantage we have in setting up a structure. But in view of this I will advised that let there be proper and perfect investigation to unravel the circumstance behind the collapsed structure", Mwadkwon stated.
Senator also revealed that "Immediately I get to the Senate I will filed a motion in respect to this unfortunate development so that total investigation should be carry out, and make sure that going forward schools and whatever buildings or institution should have a perfect plan and approval by the appropriate authority before embarking on building to avoid such.

"I prayed for God to comfort the parents of the deceased students and grant total healing for those receiving treatment, assured that the law will take it course."

The Lawmaker also visited survivors who receiving medical attention at the various tertiary health facilities in the state such as OLA hospital, Bingham university Teaching hospital (JanKwano), Plateau Specialist hospital as well as Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).

However, Senator Dachungyang Pam Mwadkwon visited and condole the family of late Sheikh Muhammad Lawal Adam, chief Imam of Plateau state.
