The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has officially resigned from the People Democratic Party (PDP).

Recalled, recently Governor Mutfwang declared his intention to join All Progressive Congress (APC) amidst PDP unending internal tussle at the National level.

Mutfwang's letter of resignation was signed and forwarded to the PDP chairman, Ampang West ward, Mangu local government area of Plateau State, Mr.Dasjak Sunday Longyot on 29th December, 2025, which he acknowledged the letter on the 30th December, 2025.

According to Governor Mutfwang,"I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect. 

"I sincerely appreciate the PDP for providing me with the political platform to participate in the democratic process. I acknowledge the support of party leaders, members, and supporters at all levels during my time in the party, and I remain grateful for the trust reposed in me.

"Given the realities of the moment, and guided by my commitment to purposeful leadership, clarity of direction, and effective service delivery, I am compelled to seek an alternative political platform.

"Please accept the assurances of my highest regards", Mutfwang concluded.
