A group under the aegis of NUKPIS community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has passed vote of confidence over a leadership quality of Chief Medical Director of Jos University Teaching Hospital,JUTH, Professor Edmund Banwat.

The group said Banwat led administration has performed exceedingly well, therefore, he deserves more opportunity to continue piloting the affairs of JUTH.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the chairman of the community Mr. Ari Julius Atang in Jos on Monday.

According to Atang " the vote of confidence is borne out of the developmental strides recorded under the leadership of present Chief Medical Director of JUTH professor Edmund Banwat.

He revealed that the:" community has benefited a lot as twelve youths were among those that were recently employed by the institution.

He affirmed commitment to always protect the institution at all times against any external forces bent on ridiculed the reputation of the institution, noting that the hospital is situated in their land and they are major beneficiaries.

The community also disassociated itself from the press statement issued by a group of youths led by Comrade Azi Aware Peter describing them as " undesirable elements who are out for their selfish interest and not in the interest of the community".

The statement therefore urged the leadership of the hospital to disregard the antics of the Azi Aware Peter and his co-sponsors who are trying to rubbish the good works of JUTH leadership.

However, the NUKPIS nation use the medium to reassure the Chief Medical Director of JUTH professor Banwat and his management team their unflinching support.

They cautioned that they would no longer tolerate the action of Azi Aware Peter and his co-sponsors or any person or persons who use the name of the Izere nation to hurt the existing relationship between the hospital and the host community.
