A group under the umbrella body called association of ethic nationalities residence in Jos North Local Government Area, have endorsed the candidature of Hon. Shehu Usman and Hon. Ezekiel Shina as Chairman and deputy in the forth coming October 9, 2021, Local Government elections in Plateau state.

The duo (Shehu Usman and Ezekiel Shina) are contesting under the platform of ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Leader of the association, elder Agwom Atang made their position known while speaking to reporters at NUJ Secretariat in Jos the state capital on Monday.

According to Atang"We stand tall to affirm our faith in their abilities and capacities to bring and unite the people of Jos North Local Government and beyond irrespective of our ethnicity and religious inclination.

"All we want is for the rescue administration of Governor Simon Lalong to be fully implanted in Jos North for the good and welfare of our people and we see Shehu Bala and Ezekiel Shina as patriotic and committed drivers of the rescue mission in Jos North.    

"As the election is around the corner, it is our sincere call to all citizens in Jos North and especially the youths to come all out and conduct themselves peaceful as we cast our votes to Hon. Shehu Bala Usman and his running mate Ezekiel Shina Agada", he mentioned.

Atang also cautioned who are planning to sabotage up coming October 9th Local Government elections to think twice else they will leave to regret their actions.

 "We Advice anyone who is thinking of doing any act that will truncate the peace and harmony in Jos and the state at large to think twice because we know them and if pushed to the wall we will name them one by one to the security agencies for appropriate actions. 

"Most of those trouble makers are not even from Jos but they are using the few individuals to achieve their evil and devilish act. Our communities are fully committed to peace in Jos North Local Government Area and we resolve never to leave any stone unturned to achieve this. We stand united to this resolve and we shall ensure peace in our cardinal mission in Jos North.

"We equally urge all security agencies in the state to redouble effort at ensuring any trouble is nipped in the bud, as not all are happy with a peace and harmony enjoyed in Jos North".
