Today marked a significant milestone in Kuru, Plateau State, as one of its esteemed sons, Dr. Gwomson Dauda (popularly known as Dr. Giwa Jos), laid the foundation for a state-of-the-art computer library at Berom Community Secondary School, Kuru. This momentous event is a testament to the community’s shared vision and unwavering commitment to creating a brighter and more prosperous future for all.

The computer library, envisioned as a hub for learning, innovation, and growth, will provide students with access to technology and digital resources that bridge the gap between traditional education and the demands of the modern world. Speaking during the foundation laying ceremony, Dr. Giwa Jos expressed his dedication to this project, stating, “I am building this facility to serve as a learning space for knowledge and further enhance the learning of our younger ones with skills that will make them fully participate and compete in a digital world.”

The event was graced by prominent figures from the community, including Dara Dudu Gyang, the President of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) worldwide. In his remarks, Dara Dudu congratulated Dr. Giwa and called on the entire community to support this noble initiative. He admired Dr. Giwa's zeal and prayed for God's continued grace in his endeavors. The Acting Gwom Rwey of Kuru also extended his congratulations, expressing deep gratitude for Dr. Giwa's generous contribution to the community.

The foundation laying ceremony sparked a wave of inspiration among Dr. Giwa's friends and well-wishers, many of whom pledged to undertake similar projects in their own communities. Demonstrating their commitment, one of Dr. Giwa's friends made a cash donation of #100,000 to support the project on the spot, while another donated one thousand blocks, with more contributions still pouring in.

The project, initiated by BECO, Kuru District, and sponsored by Dr. Giwa Jos, is a shining example of community-driven development. Rwas Dalyop Nyako, the Chairman of BECO Kuru District, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Dr. Giwa for embracing this initiative and prayed for divine blessings to complete the project. The school principal, Mr. Dakan, also voiced his appreciation, recognizing Dr. Giwa's benevolence as a significant boost to the educational landscape of the community.

The event saw a large turnout of members from the Berom Progressive Minds (BPM), friends, and well-wishers of Dr. Giwa, all eager to witness and support this transformative initiative.

As we celebrate this groundbreaking moment, let us remember that the foundation laid today is not just for a building but for the future of our children and community. Together, we can build a space that inspires curiosity, fosters creativity, and empowers our youth to thrive in a digital world.

Congratulations to Dr. Giwa Jos and to the entire Kuru community. Let the foundation we lay today be the starting point for a brighter tomorrow.
